II. Purpose and Usage

Please take the opportunity to read this Wikipedia Page first to get an idea of how this component got its name. In fact, I think it's not a good idea to access media hosted on someone else's server. At least not without prior consultation with the operator.
Hence, this component is actually intended more as a proof of concept, how the Ossn rendering engine can be influenced and extended with the help of HOOKS, without even editing a single line of the core system code.

Enough of the preamble. So, this component allows to embed external images in posts and comments by simply entering their link like:

He, that's me https://some.site.com/image.jpg really!

Supported images types are: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, and WEBP
